Research Interests
Our working group is interested in vascular NO/cGMP signaling in murine models of obesity.
Currently we are focussing to characterize cardiovascular dysfunction in mice lacking adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), a key enzyme of triglyceride catabolism.
In particular, we are interested in the role of cardiovascular oxidative stress mediated by NADPH oxidases.
In addition, the impact of perivascular adipose tissue on vascular function/dysfunction has become an additional research topic in our laboratory.
