• Experimental heart research using rodent models with focus on myocardial ischemia, hypertrophy and failure
• The role of Xanthine Oxidase and NADPH Oxidase derived reactive oxygen species (ROS) in heart pathophysiology 
• The interaction between  gaseous transmitters and ROS in the heart
• Cardio-protection
